Cheap kits/ dolls for beginner - PixieXW - 02-20-2013

I really want to carry on reborning now that I've started it but I'm only sixteen, at school and don't have or have any chance of getting, a job. I feel like I am definitely getting better with each doll but heck use of my money issues I don't gey a chance to practise. Where (in the UK) can I get either cheap reborn kits or good play dolls I could reborn. I am looking at the cheapest I can get really since the paints and mohair and clothes are pretty expensive. I am very aware I need more paints and I'm struggling to find things cheaply.

keep an eye out on ebay, sometimes you can get kits pretty cheap, not often though, you can also buy seconds kits, these are only slight seconds and won't affect the overall outcome of the doll, tinkerbell creations.co.uk sell some lovely seconds kits, also you can buy minature kits which are cheaper.

you can get la baby by berenguer at stores like walmart and they are play dolls but look like real premmies and are great to work on when beginning this art form and they look great when done.
The are a full bodied doll but can be given a soft body and they are about 16 inches long and people really like them. They cost about $20 in Australia so should be cheaper in the UK

Hi hun I am also in the UK and not splashing out as I am a beginner too. I have had several from Simply Reborn (online shop), they often have deals like Friday Frenzy with kits for as little as £19.99, and they have a wide range for around the £30 mark. The Sofia kits are available on Ebay for about £24 from Susie Q, and Mandy Chapman on Ebay has some great 2nds, I couldn't find the problem on mine!! if you search reborn seconds, you'll find her stuff ok.

PS... Simply reborn have Louise at £19.99 today, she's gorgeous!!
