Bunndle or Swaddled babies
#1
I heard someone saying last week at the doll show that they had made
a swaddled baby, sewed the arms and legs of a body up and filled it and
attached it to a head, I was then serving a customer and the two ladies
moved away, but this set my mind wondering, how would you go about
putting it together, I get the body bit but how would you attached a blanket
to hide it all up, any ideas apart from sewing or gluing, Google has no answers
I have a couple of odd heads and thought they would make great Christmas presents for a couple of young girls I know.

If it were me I would make a fabric body I could attach the doll head to then swaddle it and stitch it. The fabric body would give it the bulk needed and the shape of a baby but of course it would be soft

I would possibly use a star fish pattern which is easy to make or even make soft limbs like those for a rag doll and to tell the truth I wouldn't mind giving it a go.

I couldn't get the You Tube to load, but the bundle babies that my friends have made and sold are a doesuede body with a head attached. The baby is actually dressed in a sleeper or gown and if the hands and feet are covered, it looks just like a real little reborn.

I have a body that is been made, hoping its going to be here shortly, will let you all know. As I understand it, a slit is left in the arms and legs and you fill these yourself, then sew this slits up. I now have two heads so will see what the first one turns out like before making the second lol. Details to follow later in the week. Mandy Chapman in Northern Ireland also makes them but mine is being made by Gill Isherwood, she is on FB and that is where my body is coming from, also some other ordinary bodies, she makes them really nicely.

I PMD Gill but could not find Mandy on facebook page. I did get hold of the women in the USA on the Video who makes them Janie Lennox but she was $35 US for them plus postage and being that they are already stuffed that would get rather expensive
