One of my quilts

A couple of pics of one of my UFOs. This is the start of the top only,it still needs borders. It was supposed to be for my bed, ha. I've made quilts for everyone else but me. Now I'm not really keen on the colours so will probably put it in the guest room or something. Not to mention I now have a king size bed am not keen on making it any bigger. I'm going to get this one professionally quilted its a bit of a bugger throwing it round under the sewing machine. Got a few others I took pics of but they take ages to load to photobucket so will get them up soon.
The cat was none too impressed i disturbed his sleep to try and lay it out on the bed.

My god there is such a lot of work gone into this, it will look fantastic when it is finished. I think the colours look good as bright is nice and they match each other really well.
Good on you girl it really is lovely.

cheers

RE: One of my quilts

Thanks Ladies, Yes it is a lot of work, but very enjoyable. I got to the stage where I love getting the tops sewn together but don't like the quilting. Hence having a few UFOs. I find anything bigger than a throw is a bit too awkward to quilt. My last two I had quilted professionally I just need to do the binding. Coming up to a good time of the year for that nothing better than sitting in front of a good movie on a cold night hand-sewing the binding.
Will get some of the others up soon.
Nikki
