Welcome to the forum papillion. You sound like you are going about it the right way. Taking a class can be a lot easier than trying to just teach yourself and going through a lot of painful trial and error. That's the way I ended up doing it, mainly because I couldn't find any classes around me in here Perth. I am sure there must be some, but I couldn't find any.

Hi Papillion you sound like me. I did a 1 day course to get started and I was so excited. There is nobody who teaches where I live. I had to travel 1000klms for a class. Luckily I have now met Nikki (Made with Love Reborn nursery) she lives in Emerald as well. She is a great help and we share ideas and supplies with each other. It is great to have somebody close you can go to when you need help.

This term I will be doing an Eden by Marissa May kit, I've started the mottling and veins and done 1 skin tone layer so far. I don't think I was paying attention though because I've got quite a few pounce marks from the sponge - oooppps!
This little bub will just need more coats I guess. She's going to represent my little girl who's 8 years old and is named Ruby.
All of my kids are very excited about my bubby and can't wait for me to make more so that they can cuddle them.
