Holiday
greetings everyone,
I bet you popped in here to see who was going on holiday and where they are going, well it was me and I have been and am back lol. Actually my cousin purchased her first home so I popped down to Buff point which is a hop skip and a jump to Sydney ( in Australia.) I remember what it was like when I brought my first place and how overwhelming it all seemed on moving day. It does not matter how clean the house has been left one needs to clean it all over again which is all part of the ritual of ownership and placing ones mark on and within the house. Sadly for my cousin the house was left in such a state it was all too much for her combined with being so tired from working, packing and all that goes with the process of buying so she was close to breaking point by late afternoon. I and a friend had made the decision to go down for four days and give her a hand so we were close to the end of our 10 hour drive when we got the call saying it was all too much and there just too much to do lol. We arrived and started on the massive clean up which of course made a big difference. We water blasted the fences and it turned out that they were not painted green they were in fact really dirty so once cleaned were transformed from an ugly duckling to a beautiful swan. Such nice blond wood and one of the locals came over and said the fence looked brand new and also made the house look much better which of course made my cousins day. When we left a couple of days later the outside of the house had been transformed the gardens look lovely and the inside was clean so all that is left the unpacking which she will no doubt do over the coming day but she is happy, comfortable and glad she made the decision to buy. We however hurt everywhere and will be suffering from fatigue for a few days to come from the amount of work we did and the very long drive. ROFL. Anyway guys that is why I have appeared to be so quiet on line. cheers Andama DujonReborn Dolls Australia |

RE: Holiday
Welcome back Andama. I know all too well about the whole cleaning before you move in. When we bought our house last December it has been empty for some time and everything was caked in dust. I'm sure your Cousin really appreciated your help, even though your feeling exhausted now.
