Hi

Hi my name is Jenn and I have been an avid teddy bear collector for about four years now. I am also a new mommy. As a little girl I collected dolls so I have a few of those as well. After my son was born, I found a reborn baby that had me doing double takes. This little one looked very much like my son! I was in love! I didn't quite bid high enough to take him home but I did win a Lee middleton playbaby. When she arrived I realized that she had worn some of the paint of her mouth becauseshe had a habit of sucking her thumb, I'd like to reborn her but I have no idea where to start.

RE: Hi

Hi Jenn,
Welcome to the baby banter form and what a great into you gave us.
New artists are always lovely to have here as we get to see their first born and watch them grow with each new baby. be warned this is an addictive art form.
I will let Dianna or the other members tell you how to start reborning and Dianna is like the goddess of knowledge when it comes to this art and can track down anything and everything on the subject.
Look forward to hearing more from you in the future and if you feel like posting any photos of your bears and babies then we would love to see them.

Cheers

RE: Hi

Jenn always great to hear from a lover of the art form
Beginning if you type tutorial on reborning in google you will get over whelmed with them
Lee middleton playbaby you need to dismantle the doll remove the wig and old paint by using acetone than wash the doll thoughtly and allow to dry I use to leave it to dry a couple of days I use to like to remove the eyes as well I hope I remembered everything it has been many years since i have done these type of dolls.
You could buy the DVD's to watch or go to uoutube.com and watch some of the videos there
Do you live in Australian Jenn ?
Hope I have started you on your quest
All the best
