hi from a new member
hiya all
just joined tonight.
i ve just finished two dolls... one on sunday and one on monday.
i did a sassy sculpt and a honey sculpt.
my sassy (my first) has a lot of mistakes and the top of her head got soft, then somehow (no ones telling) her head got cracked.
so i put a hat on her lol.
my boy has red hair and green eyes and came out ok considering his only my second doll.
i have some crappy pics i took with my phone but i am gonna try and find the camera and take better ones tomorrow.
i love doing this and have a wish list of doll kits lol
ohhh the other non doll stuff. i live near sydney, i have 4 kids of my own (only youngest is hubbys) and two step kids (they live with their mum whos also just got into reborning).
i like to make cards, intend to start scrapping my photos, i just started quilting... and of course reborns (did i mention i like craft). my kids play teeball/baseball, as do my step kids, so many a weekend... or some weekdays i am at a baseball field.
i havent crocheted in forever, but still can knit quite well (their good travelling crafts) i also like cross stitch, and want to try my hand at candle wicking and quilling (rolling paper strips to make 3 D pictures). (i think i mentioned i like craft)
i work at home (as does hubby when he doesnt have to travel) i work for hubby in his business, which his work is interesting , but mines boring (accounts letters, boring stuff).
ummmm i could stand to lose 20 odd kilos more then the 10 i already lost, i am 5 foot, 1.5 inches tall (or 156 cms) blue eyes... and my hair is brown red, and bits of blonde..(i forget my natural shade).
anything i left out just ask.....

RE: hi from a new member

Cindy,
Gee you sound just like the rest of us
My hubby and I love Sydney but just to visit to be honest we could never moved out of the area we live in it's God's country truly a little place called Dunbible.
I have 2 Aunts that live in Sydney and 1 in the Blue mountains.
I use to do alot of scrapbooking a fe years ago but to be honest reborning took over my spare time.
I gave up smoking about 15 months ago and have put on 14 kilo's
so I too could lose some
It's so sad smoking is bad for you because I enjoyed it to be honest
just being honest!
Anyway good to have you here
All the best

Hi Cindy,
and a big baby banter welcome to you.
My my you sound like a busy woman and yes we would love to see the photos of your reborn babies. How interesting that the head on the doll cracked and to tell the truth I have no idea why but would really like to know why it happens, perhaps another member can supply the answer. We have a craft section here as well so when you get your camera feel free to show us what else you do especially in my case as I love seeing what people create.
The wish list for dolls is something we all have so I know where you are coming from with that lol.
Again welcome aboard and we look forward to hearing from you often.
Cheers
Andama Dujon

Hi Cindy
welcome to the forum wow you certainly do sound like a busy lady and you will most certainly fit in here.
I live in the blue mountains
Well I don't know why the head cracked but if it isn't a big crack you could try to seal it with some e6000 glue or maybe some silicon. The only thing I can think as to why it cracked is possible if you baked it in the oven might have had the temp to high or left it in for to long.. or the kit may have just had a fault in it that made it weak..
Oh that wish list will keep growing and growing trust me, if my wish list was written down on paper i think it would wrap all the way around the world lol.
Can't wait to see your bubs
