Hi there everyone i am kaylene and love buying lots of dolls etc and have been reborning my own collection of dolls now. I am married to a wonderful man and am also a mother of 3 kids 2 boys and 1 daughter. I have found that with the kids getting older and my husband working away on fifo started to get abit lonely and to reborn dolls has brought lots of lonely time getting easier i am much happier now. I am living in australia now for a year with all my family and friends in south africa. Is there anyone out there in a similiar situation like me. would like to hear from you ladies. thanksTongue:PBig Grin

Thank you so much Dianna i do truelly love the art of reborning when i start on a kit i cant wait to see the end result it is a beautiful art. I have done 5 kits and i just feel that you put a part of yourself in each one and there are artists that sell their work but you could never get what your time energy or most importantly the money invested in each one . Once again thank you.

Ho Kay,
you are so right I am also curious sometimes I can look at a mould when I start and know what he/she will be called other time's I have no idea
Things are changing all the time aren't they I use to sell quite alot but I don't do many anymore at the moment I'm looking for a scuplt /mould that is to look like her grandchild boy for a lady I met I'm having a hard time finding one that I am happy with
I have a very active life all my children and grandchild live with me and my husband it is very full on all the time
We try to play bingo at the local club at least once a week
But over the last year it has become harder and harder to find the spare $$$ to buy these kits and I have noticed that people don't seem to have $$$$ to buy them as much anymore
and you are so right what is the good of selling them for next to nothing I dont take into account my time thats for sure but you do have to get a little bit above what you have paid to make the baby /doll
All the best

StorkHi Dianne well you are right you have your hands full at home just tooo hectic sometimes but you can never regret your kids and grandkids sometimes they are with you for a reason you know. Yeah the price of doll kits is really pricey. I have found that the states kit prices heaps cheaper than au but you gotta take into account the exchange rate and postage thats why our kits so expensive. Then you buy all the extras and you still gonna lose out so its a personel choice really. its a really expensive hobby lol but it keeps the mind calm etc. well take care and have a good day.

Hi kay,

Welcome to baby banter. You sound like a busy person and then you still have time to reborn, good on you.
I would love to see sme of your babies and even the ones you collect so feel free to load some photos.
