I have wrote this under a different thread until we got a bit more organised and as you see we are getting there.
SO HERE'S A LITTLE STORY THAT MIGHT AMUSE SOME ...


I must tell you a little story I was in hospital about 8 weeks ago and there was another artist in there (not a reborn Artist) she was a painter we got to talking Penny was her name and she asked me if she could see one of my Babies(doll) so I called my husband and he bought one up to the hospital I showed her and had it sitting on the end of my bed when the doctor came in to see how I was going (I was in because I was in severe pain in stomach and side of my body)
So my husband being the clown he can sometimes be says to him "Well Doc we found out the problem" and pointed to the baby(doll) all wrapped up at the end of the bed. I can honestly tell you I wish I had a camera for the reaction on his face.
It took him a few seconds to register after I told him it was just a doll he was amazed as well.
Bill (my hubby) was laughing he's guts up at this stage he thought it was a great joke (and it was) I still get a grin when I think about it.
Needless to say it was my gallbladder giving me trouble and I had it removed about 4 weeks ago now.

So if you have any stories you would like to tell by all means we'd love to hear them.

I look after a friends son on a regular basis,since his birth 4 years ago,and his mother loves knowing I can take him anytime,even on short notice.One day she was bringing him to my house and our front security door was locked .I had just dressed my first full sized reborn doll and was carrying it in my arms when I went to unlock the door.My friends face dropped,and she asked "Whose baby are you looking after today?I was hoping to leave my son here but you have your hands full".
She looked at the reborn and commented what a pretty,peaceful baby it was!
I think she was very relieved when I told her it was a doll and I could still babysit her child.

Here's a funny story for everyone...My sister Jayme and I thought it would be funny if we took some photo's of my daughter Caitlyn, with some of my mums babies (reborns).
After getting the photos developed i showed my mother in-law the pictures, and told her how my mum makes reborn dolls...She looked at the pictures and said how cute they were, and how realistic they looked -after she passed the photo back, I started laughing.
She looked at me very blankly and said " Whats so funny?"
I repied "The baby in the middle is your grandaughter" she took the photo back and went a bit red...and then we both had a laugh. She said that my mum does a great job, and laughed about how i managed to fool her into thinking they were all dolls...

hope yous like that...i thought it was abit of a laugh

That photo was great, had to really look to see which baby was real.

I am a collector,not an artist,unfortunately I lack the dedication and talent but I will keep trying.I love the realistic babies best,with all their wrinkly skin and milk spots.I have a digital camera just dont know how to get the photos onto the computer,but I will ask one of my sons.
I bought the first reborn because it was the image of my daughter at about 6 weeks of age,now a friend has made me a newborn from my daughters hospital photo.I cant wait to get it.
I love that photo above of the baby hidden in the reborns,thats too cute!

She is named Emma'lee and I bought her off ebay.She is made from a discontinued Berenguer Special Edition 204 face.
