RE: custom baby number 1
I think I agree I wouldn't add anymore to be honest
I'd just put some clear on
What colour hair is she going to have?
Here's a question you do pull her back apart so you can do the hair don't you?
All the best

RE: custom baby number 1
Thanks ladies I think you are right once she has some varnish on her lips that will stand out nicely
hehe Yes Dianna I do pull her back apart before i do any rooting, i just tie them together with string or rest them on their bodies when they are at this stage to send the pics to their mums to see if they are happy as the babies look weird in pics painted but in peices lol at least the way I take the photos you can pretend its just a bald baby
She is going to have very dark brown almost back hair.

RE: custom baby number 1
Hi Dianna
lol I worry myself sometimes with the things that i do
I use the air dry paints not heat set but the colour I used would be the equvilant to flesh 08 and I added some white, I think I used around about 3 parts flesh to 1 part white, pounced that on with the cosmetic wedge I did I think it was 3 or 4 layers then did the veins then I put some of the colour I used as the flesh base in my pallet and mixed in a tiny amount of light purple pounced that on with sea sponge, then the next layer I added a tiny bit of green to the flesh base colour the pounced on with a sea sponge then I can't remeber if I added red or burnt umber to the flesh and pounced again with the sea sponge by a tiny bit I mean just that teeny tiny the base colour shouldn't change that much at all. It just helps give some depth to the skin tone its not obvious colour changes. I hope that makes some sense

Hi OM,
I cant wait to see the step by step photos you are doing using the air dry paints as you do get some lovely results and I would like to see how they used.
Cheers

Hi Andama
Well I had a little set back with the tutorial hrmmm I loaded all my pics on the computer cleaned my cameras memory card and the next day my computer died.. so typical, any way I have pinched my dads spare laptop and asked him if he can recover anything of my old computer so fingers crossed he might beable to get the pics, if he can't I am working on my 2nd custom orders paint over the long weekend so have started taking the step by step photos again and might have to use them instead.
hugs gayle

Wow, computer crash breaks your heart doesnt it.
Still nice to see you are going to try again and I am rather excited about seeing the step by step process as I have been hearing about the air dry paint and now would really like to see how they work and the rebirth as it happens.
I am sure others will be interested as well as the air dry is new to most of us from what I gather. I should ask you how you discovered this painting process and out of interest is there any differance in the staying power of the paint on the doll over time.
Cheers
