To tell the truth Gayle, I cant use a pattern so I just look at something and see what I think should go where and it kind of grows as it goes. I cut fabric etc free hand and cross my fingers that it will work. many mistakes and now many years of doing it has made creating these things easy and for me very enjoyable. I do stitch everything by hand as I find no pleasure in using a machine but having said that I never really make two of the same of anything.
If I do two of anything then the colour must be different and I must really like it lol.

i have a hooded basinette too, its just the cane one with the solid hood.

i could take measurements and send you photos lol.

hell i would even send the basket lol. you could make any colour you wanted.

I bought my bassinette from a lady down the street at her Garage sale. It was $5 with a chrome stand and matress. Its a plastic weaved one. Its exactly the same as the one my mother-in-law lent me to use for the two girls. It was bought when my husband was born and he is 34 this year. Both are in great condtion, only thing is the one I bought doesn't have the little metal bit to put a net crook on. Will have to work on a skirt or something for the new one.

i want to buy a cot.. i got a complete cot bedding set... bumper, sheets, quilt, bed skirt, nappy stacker and a veil that goes i think on one of the circular halo things (i guess i better check that before i buy one lol) for 10 dollars. its kinda unisex and its a tiny bit faded but still will look awesome to have it all matched.

and will do till i see a matched set at an awesome price.

Will take a few pics too. My babies are all in my spare cot. Aimee slept in the port-cot from July to December. As Hannah didn't seem to be in a hurry to give her cot up I bought a new one for Aimee when we moved in December, by March Hannah was sleeping in a bed so I had to put the old one to good use and filled it with reborns hehe.

What lovely work you have done on those baskets just lovely like your babies too
